I looked up from my laptop just a second ago to act like I had been listening to Buzz's lecture the whole time.

After a second or two, I noticed something. Absolutely nobody else was looking at Buzz. Everyone as drawing or reading or doodling or spacing out or something else. Wow.

So I stupidly reserved a spot at the spring tour this coming Friday in Santa Cruz. There were only 2 spots left in the entire day, so I took them both.

But it looks like nobody will be able to go with me. Which. Is. LAME.

This whole tour isn't really REQUIRED. I could easily go on a different one later. But this one is THE tour with free food and class-sit-ins and shit.

I hate it when a friend is dealing with an incredible amount of pain, but there's nothing you can do but give them space and let them heal for themselves. It's like a gamble that you're forced to take, and any attempt to quit while you can only hurts your odds. Maybe that's a bad analogy, but it's the best I can do.

Lauren's strong, she'll get through it. And Johnny is definitely someone I'd trust to do well in this situation. I joke a lot that it's my Jew guilt that makes me want to look out for everyone, and that's probably at least a little true. But beyond that it's that I give every emotion I have into a friendship, and hope that each friend responds in kind.

This just adds on to the ridiculous influx of good, bad and conflicting news that I've received in the last month. My Dad and his throat, I get into colleges, my Grandma gives me a huge chunk of money, now Lauren's Dad. When all this shit happens at once I stop having my own emotions and start being like a chameleon...I feel anything my friends feel. Which makes being alone (or with a friend that's shutting me out) make me feel numb and restless.

So, what do I want to do? I have no fucking clue.
